Things I Can Do

Displays include pottery, paintings, musical instruments, jewelry, traditional weaponry, chiefs’ regalia, carved stools, and bronze ancestral vases. Many artifacts are drawn from archaeological sites across the region, such as Tongo-Tengzuk and the Pikworo Slave Camp, illustrating centuries of local history. A many slaves from the North landed up at Cape Coast and Elmina. The museum bridges archaeology, colonial history, and traditional craftsmanship—curating stories from Tongo rocks, slave camp artifacts, and Gurensi pottery.
